INFORMATION LITERACY
Information Literacy - is a set of abilities requiring individuals to "recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information."

There are FOUR Skills Needed to be INFORMATION LITERATE
1) To be able to recognize when information is needed.
2) The ability to locate and access set and information.
3) To be able to evaluate or asses information.
4) The ability to use the needed information effectively.
An information LITERATE INDIVIDUAL is able to do the FF:
1) Determine the extent information needed.
2) Access the needed information effectively and efficiently.
3) Evaluate information and its sources critically.
4) Incorporate selected information to one's knowledge base.
5) Use information effectively to accomplish a specific purposes.
6) Understand the economic, legal and social issues surrounding the use of information, and access and use information ethically and legally.
